BTW... I didn't specifically mention the 2 Amendment...you did but the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution was ratified in 1791. Interpreting the Second Amendment today can be confusing as hell. Legislatures are still trying to sort it out. However, The U.S. Supreme Court has interpreted it to mean that most Americans have a constitutional right to defend themselves and their property, with force if necessary.

Correct.
You noted the constitution. That's where the amendment lives.
Nothing hard at all in its interpretation. Like the constitution and the amendments, they must be viewed withh context and the supporting documents.
However, if one has an agenda...it's easy to try and "mold" the constitution. Often using the courts to do so.
