The first "grandbaaboo" 's due date is Dec. 22nd. I may need some ideas soon for the not getting lost in the rush.
I actually think the before-Christmas birthdays kind of get to ride the wave of all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. It's another reason to have a party, what's not to love about that? But post-Christmas is kind of crash time for everyone; not as much motivation to party, I guess.

Yeah, I think you're right about that. My neice's b-day is on Christmas Day. They always have her party between C/mas and New years. It's just not the same though. It's more exciting to have the party before the b-day rather than after.

I say have his party early and see how it goes! I bet he won't complain. My daughter loved getting gifts when it wasn't even her birthday yet!

Coincidentally my husband asked me tonight where I'd like to have my birthday dinner in ATL so he could go ahead and make reservations. The past two years we've done Bacchanalia. Attached is the list from the AJC Fall Dining Guide.

Any suggestions? BTW not The Dining Room. It's just too "big hotel." And not Seegers. The portions are so small there that when I get finished with my meal, I'm ready for chili-cheese fries at Johnny Rocket's two blocks away.

I just talked to my daughter. They had a fantastic baby shower last night. She wants to know when her Mom is coming home to see all the goods! I am so looking forward to being a Grana! :clap_1:

Hey Sueshore, You will really love when the grandbabies get here. They are more fun then your own kids. When my son gets married in June we will have a total of 10. 5 through marriage and 5 more by 2nd marriage. It is alway nice to have them but you can then send them home when theu get on your nerves.

Well, I'm celebrating my December birthday in SoWal this year because it's a, uh, special day. Wish I could rope some of you into celebrating with me; I'm going to need all the cheering up I can get...

Peapod....are you turning the big 4-0! ??? Just a guess. Been there done that....last year. My peeps had a surprise party for me...I really had no idea...I had told everyone I'd kill them if they did that to me. I was serenaded by a high school chorale group. It was amazing. It turned out being a really good birthday. It's the whole rest of the year that you have to get used to. Sowal will be a wonderul way to celebrate!

Zip! Zip! Zip it! The mention of that number is :banned:
Oy, I couldn't face a party, can't face the facts...
The only sensible answer was to run away to SoWal.
OK, can't discuss it anymore, just talking about it makes me want to :puke:
