Voter Fraud in Nevada?

October 26, 2010 11:34 A.M. By Daniel Foster
Voters might be split in Nevada, but the machines seem to be leaning Democrat. The local Fox affiliate reports from Boulder City:

Some voters in Boulder City said they are concerned about fraud at the electronic ballot box.

Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid?s name was already checked.Ferrara said she wasn?t alone in her voting experience. She said her husband and several others voting at the same time all had the same thing happen.

?Something?s not right,? Ferrara said. ?One person that?s a fluke. Two, that?s strange. But several within a five minute period of time ? that?s wrong.?

Clark County Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax said there is no voter fraud, although the issues do come up because the screens are sensitive. For that reason, a person may not want to have their fingers linger too long on the screen after they make a selection at any time.

?Especially in a community with elderly citizens (they have) difficulty in (casting their) ballot,? Lomax said. ?Team leaders said there were complaints (and the) race filled in.?

Lomax said voters need to have faith in the system.

?This election, I think, more than ever,? he said. ?The two sides are very fractured and each side is suspicious and we?re caught in the middle.?

What's interesting is that it was conservative Republicans, after the 2000 election, that wanted these touch screen machines implemented. You reap what you sow huh?

The fact that the article states a lean toward democrat is interesting. In Florida there's no way to know until the results are in. Is Nevada already counting ballots?

I wonder how old those touch screens are. they do break down with age. Those old mammoth machines worked for decades without much of a problem and the scantrons seem to be working fine. Rock it Diebold.

Interesting fact: Rory Reid is over seeing the election and SEIU takes care of the voting machines.
You have to love the arrogance.

Well if there's impropriety then prove it. Tea Baggers love the constitution and bill of rights, yet seem to have forgotten the burden of proof and innocent until proven guilty.

You obviously have missed the "conflict of interest" here...

Would you still be tooting the same horn if Jeb Bush was over seeing the G.W. election?? Be honest.

This will be very interesting. I don't think the Republican gains will be as massive as they expect, which will prompt them to cry foul, without any proof of course. This will lead to a couple of years, of allegations and investigations.:trainwreck:

Um....he did, didn't he? And there were lawsuits, in which the people claiming conflict of interest and voter fraud lost? I am one of those who thought the process actually worked there. It was long and ponderous, but no one can say they didn't get a hearing. I didn't agree with the decision, I thought the Florida election was sort of bogus, but at least we walked through the process instead of everybody just crying in their beer and feeling like a big old victim.
