Or any other tried and true strata recipe.

I've done a search and still can't find the thread it was posted on. I will PM Allifunn but just in case she is in transit I'm asking for your help too!

My interent service has been up and down so if I don't reply, that's the reason. Thanks in advance!

JR, here is mine. It is easy and really good.

Breakfast Casserole

6 eggs
1 cup half and half
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
Salt and pepper
Butter to grease pan
6 slices of Texas Toast (or thick cut, crusty white bread)
1 pound spicy pork sausage, cooked and drained of fat
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

In a small bowl, beat the eggs until they loosen up. Add the half and half, and green onions. Mix well, highly season with salt and pepper and set aside.

Butter a 12 by 10-inch baking pan. Line the pan with the bread, cutting and rearranging, if needed. Sprinkle the bread with the cooked sausage and cheese. Pour the egg mixture over the entire pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook covered for 25 to 30 minutes or until the egg mixture is set

And here is Allifunn's. I just found it for you.

Sausage & Egg Casserole

1 lb sausage (Jimmy Dean Regular is the best..or use hot if you like a little spice)
6 slices bread, I use hearty white or regular white...wheat is too sweet for me)
1 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
6 Eggs well beaten
2 cups milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dried mustard

Fry sausage , breaking it up as it cooks. Drain and cool. Cut bread into small cubes and layer in a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle sausage on top and then cheese. Add the milk to the beaten eggs, add salt & mustard. Whisk well and pour evenly over casserole. Cover and let sit in the frig overnight...or at least an hour.

Uncover and bake at 350 about 30-45 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!

This is also good to use through out the week as
breakfast for rushed school kids or busy moms! If you are on low card...omit the bread. You can also use diced ham instrad of sausage, and add other ingredients...onion, mushrooms, peppers.

Also good served with warmed up salsa on the side

Thank you KDW and Mango so much for searching!!

I'm 99% positive this is the one. I may try the others instead because they all sound so good!

Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Johnrudy, my SIL makes the same one as Alli, and it is awesome. I was wanting to make it for our Christmas brunch, but my mom is bringing a different one.
