This sausage & egg casserole was a big hit in our house this morning. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! This just may be a new tradition each Christmas morning.

Now, one of our newest traditions is the Corn Casserole recipe of Tootsies. It's to die for!

how funny, I'm on my way to the kitchen to make that very dish!

we also had allifunn's breakfast casserole this morning - it was good but I did something wrong. it was a bit dryer than usual. like too much bread and not enough egg. I just don't do it enough to have a good feel for it.

I removed the crusts so maybe that was just enough to keep it from being dried out. Ours was moist and really fabulous! And the other 2 picky eaters  in the house actually loved it.

it was the crust. before I started dicing the bread, I was asking myself and the captain (captain kirk) if I was suppose to remove the crust - I just could not remember. we both decided it wouldn't matter. well, it ended up being too much bread. but it was still yummy.

Maybe it was the bread you used? I usually use plain old white bread...which is not as dry as most breads. If you use a denser and dryer bread...add more liquid. I made shrimp & grits for my kiddos this morning....
They loved their Zoo gallery shirts!
