I'm going to be a bit more realistic and start later in the week.

consumer reports had an interesting article on all these diet ads on tv, in magazines etc. apparently these people are in many cases supplied with personal trainers and other means (in some cases gastric bypass surgery) to get their results.

Makes me wonder if Kirstie Allie really had gastric bypass :dunno: instead of calling "Jenny."

I think she'd have lost a lot more weight by now with gastric bypass surgery. Regardless, I don't think I could find her commercials any more annoying. I don't know about celebrities and weight loss plans - seems to me that it's got to be a whole lot easier when you can hire personal trainers and people to cook for you.

Same here! Kirstie Alley is so annoyingly tacky. But I like the way her figure is, as opposed to when she was on "Cheers." She was too skinny back then and even though she's probably still a good size 14 or so now (even with "jenny") it suits her. Despite the constant barrage of commercials claiming you have to be a bitty size 4 to be happy, it doesn't work for the most of us.
