Please, whatever you do, try not to consider this little girl a spoiled brat. It sounds like to me that she needs a friend. Maybe the parents are unintentionally raising her to be a spoiled brat. So look at the parents instead.
IBD, you sound like an awesome mom and I'm sure you will embrace this child in any way that seems appropriate. Either by befriending the mother, learning about the possibilities of other medical conditions, borderline or otherwise. Lil ibd doesn't have to be life long friends with X. Just go with the flow, keep an eye peeled for unusual behavior. In time lil ibd will make more friends too.
Everywhere we've ever lived, it always ended up the kid across the street was always the least desirable! Including their parents and their parenting abilities.
Just accept this little girl; talk and reassure lil ibd. And yes, this IS just the beginning of whats to come. She'll have different kinds of friends from different backgrounds - which is a good thing. She'll learn to adapt. Conflict is not always a bad thing even at a young age. And lil ibd sounds like a great friend to have too!
Good luck.
