Has anyone heard how the local unions feel about pending legislation that would eliminate secret balloting when setting up unions?
I find it amazing that this question, which I believe is a good one BTW, has been in the air since the 11th and there has not been one response from those so vociferously supporting unionization here in SoWal. On an unrelated subject, I also note there has been no mention of the Israeli attacks ongoing in the Gaza strip. Sometimes what does not appear in this forum is almost as interesting as what does.uhmmmm...seriously. What do you think their feelings are? It's a sure fire way for union intimidation when a secret ballot is not allowed...
I almost started a thread on it, then realized there was nothing new to be added to the discussion. On an unrelated subject, I also note there has been no mention of the Israeli attacks ongoing in the Gaza strip. Sometimes what does not appear in this forum is almost as interesting as what does.

Like you Andy the lack of participation by the union activists on this board is amazing to me.
When you talk about union's political influence, they deny it, while meeting with people to plan replacement strategies.
Want to talk about a living wage? No such discussion, members just need to be paid more.
What about card check? Total silence.
Terminating criminals, everyone deserves a second chance.
