I went out for my evening run and just couldnt get into it. I dont know if it was the balmy humidity, the hills of cloverdale or what. Then it occurred to me, running just sucks. :bang:
Me--I hate it! I have this uh, running, argument with my sister (lucky13) that I just can't run, I'm not a runner. She claims anyone can, it's all in my head. I'm not so sure about that. I actually don't mind walking, and once I found out you burn as many calories briskly walking as you do running, that did it for me.

I used to absolutely hate running, but then I got into triathlons, so I kind of had to do it. It took me about a year and a half of consistent running before I went from hating it to tolerating it to liking it.

Are you competing in next week's Gulf Coast Triathalon? If so, I will see you there (no, I am not competiting, but my future sister in law will be there getting ready for some qualifiers).

My thoughts exactly!!!!! Why run when you can walk? Your knees will thank you.

I have my 42 mile 5 Boro Bike Tour on Sunday! Think of me while I'm truckin' it through the big city. I'm sure I'll be numb from the waist down for a few weeks.

Hopefully they won't have to peel me up off the pavement. Wish me luck! :rotfl:

Kimmi, that sounds great. Is there a website to see what it's all about? You'll do just fine--42 miles of flat bicycling isn't really too bad.

I hear there's a hill in Brooklyn!

www.bikeny.org It's the 5 Boro Bike Tour. Apparently the largest in the country.
