I write one per month. The rest of the bills I pay online. At this rate, I figure it'll take me about 20 years to use a box of checks. Just curious.....
I write 1-3 per month. online bill pay plus debit card. I haven't carried a checkbook in years. but there are still occasions... I do not miss balancing the checkbook AT ALL. Quicken is a lifesaver, though with how online banking solutions are evolving, I may give that up eventually.
So strange that you posted this. I was just thinking this morning that I cannot remember the last check I wrote. Have no clue why I was thinking about that at 4:30 in the morning! I pay everything online and use my debit card for everything else. I am sure checks are on the way out.
They only checks I still have to write are to my kids school. Lunch account, book fee, room mother money, after school care......I haven't written a check in 4 months, but the first day of school, I think I wrote 6!!
I have probably a half dozen bills that can't be paid online or via credit card. Then I have two where I can pay online but I have to give them a check number. It's such a pain.
Pay most of my bills online. Have a few medical bills that I write checks for. But even a few of them are starting to set things up where they can be paid online. And to church I write a check every week. Other than that we use our debit card.
