she had about 25 "show" quality dogs up at her "big house", and another dozen or so "extras" at the barns. We would sit down and be literally smothered with wagging tails and licks and wiggles.
You know, moments like that are about as good as life gets. really, you just don't find that kind of pure happiness in many places... well...maybe on top of a 14K-foot mountain in colorado with a 100-mile views and a foot of fresh powder...but that's still second to 25 puppies.

..i'm such a cheeseball. ;-)

I've got two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They are the most loving dogs ever! I've brought one down to the beach but the other one hasn't been yet. I know that he will love it.

My daughter rescued a Golden Retriever from the side of the road on Friday night that had been hit by a car and left on the side of the road - unbelievable that someone could do that!! It is at the Humane Society right now where it will remain unless it's owner claims it in 5 days. If no one claims it my daughter will adopt it. I visited the Humane Society yesterday for the first time in my life and am now a big fan of dog rescue and adoption!

Was it near Eastern Lake Road? I've rescued the owner of Cafe 30-A's golden many times, the scariest being when the dog was just standing in the middle of Highway 30-A.
