I stopped by PJ's yesterday afternoon. No word about the little girl....good news, I hope!
The lifeguard, Ross, said he saw a "small" 4' shark. He said that when he was calling everyone out of the water, they looked at him like he was speaking greek! :dunno:

It is interesting when you are chest deep in the Gulf and you hear people yelling SHARK! First thought is it must be HUGE by the way these people are screaming. Second thought is, they are tourists and it might not even be a shark. Third thought is, it could be a small shark. Final thought before deciding to get out of the water is, what if it IS a huge shark? :shark:

I don't care what size it is, I want to be on land or a boat when I see it - even if it turns out to be a dolphin!

People who don't listen to a lifeguard telling them to get out of the water because there's a shark go in the same category as those I overhear bragging on their cells that the double red flags won't keep them out of the water/ruin their vacation.

True!
I still have vivid memories of hearing about the young girl that was killed by a shark a couple of years back near Sandestin!
I don't go out past my knees anymore, and I am short!

My guess is that we would have heard more about it if the girl was still missing. Heck, if a shark was involved, it would have been on the national news yesterday.
