When you read the article and put the quotation in context it refers to underage drinking, not a ban for all.

Careful. Some group just might Ban something that affects you.
How about this?? Ban ALL cellular communications in a vehicle while it is moving? All occupants. Affect you?
Ban ALL radios/CD players/ etc on the beach 24/7. Ban all fires on the beach 24/7. Ban all parties on the beach w/o a permit, also w/o alcohol/music/fire. It offends me up in my condo. Ban flashlights on the beach at night. It makes me nervous, and I cannot sleep. Ban it, please.

Starfish. I am sure that you are responsible, but, but,, some others on the beach are NOT. Therefore, Ban all alcohol use and you solve the problem. That adult beverage can wait until you get off the beach. No problem.

The Sheriff was in the news today destroying drug paraphernalia and talking about cracking down on underage drinking and drug use for spring break.

Great to see, hope proactive enforcement fixes the spring break problems we have been having.
