Driving from Navarre to Destin on Hwy 98

We are coming from the west & always drive due south from I-10 at Milton(past Pensacola) and hit Hwy98, the drive East. I love that route, but had heard that the hurricane may have damaged (washed out) portions of this highway? Is it now 4 lanes or is some still 2 lanes? Or should I just stay on I-10 until I exit to the mid-way bridge at Destin?

Hwy 98 between Fort Walton Beach and Destin did wash out, but two lanes have been reopened. It may actually be all four lanes by now. Eastbound traffic shouldn't be too bad unless you attempt during the morning crunch to Destin.

Otherwise, you should be fine.
