Eating Mullet---I just can't...

I've had it smoked. It's delicious.

It is awesome, so is Mackerel. I am not a fried food fan, but fresh mullet is damn tasty, I will would take it over fried grouper or catfish any day.

When I started fishing down there 32 years ago people thought AJ and Redfish were trash fish and didn't even keep them. Now there are serious restrictions on both. People are goofy.

I love fried mullet better than quite a few other fish. In a lot of the south, fried catfish is just as popular. It is very comparable. In Mississippi, there are chain catfish restaurants, that probably should venture out into other states. They are that good. Conn006, you probably just don't like the sound of the word "mullet".

What are the names of the chains in MS that have catfish. Will have to try them next time.
