Well, I think we are all responsible for our actions.

My take on him, is he is scum of the worst kind.

Mrs. Edwards, has lost a child, had a husband cheat on her and has cancer, I figure she gets a break on any bad behavior on her part.

agree.

I wish happiness to the entire family once the scandal dies down. it is going to take a while. John's character is seriously damaged - beyond repair politically and publicly, forever, so he gets everyting he deserves and more. Elizabeth's character is really not the issue here - its hardly fair to dissect her in order to understand him or his actions. and we hardly know anything about their private lives or the whole of the situation. I still wish them all a chance at real happiness in the future. John included. my what a tangled web some humans can weave. but we're all just human.

Scum, chum, all the same. Infidelity is an epidemic and it is so sad and so many people are hurt so unnecessarily. Man up and deal with marital problems before you mess around and hurt your family beyond repair. It has become so common as I have said so many times, it is in our back yard too. Being single in your 40's is scary and the pool of potential dates is polluted with dishonesty. Woman up is needed as well. Wish this wasn't the case, truly I do.

The women that will knowingly date a man that is in a committed relationship should get a scarlet letter. It reminds me of Tiger Woods's mistresses and having their faces imprinted on golf balls and kavetching about it!!! Puleeze! You play, you pay. What were these women thinking?? $$$$$$$ I want a set of Ho Balls to kick around. Get me a set with Tiger too! Get me a set with Rielle Hunter!!! And if they can be imprinted locally, I have some suggestions.

Someone asked me if Psycho Ex cheated on me. I felt strongly that he didn't physically cheat on me; however, with the lies and lies by omission, he absolutely cheated on my heart and on us.....emotional cheating sometimes can reach deeper chords than sexual cheating.

There are many levels to cheating, dishonesty, etc. Then, his ridiculous projection of his issues. He's probably reading this.......I sincerely (and, selfishly) wish you well and while I was happy when you entered my life; I was elated when you left.

He's certainly killed any political future he might have - you can spin and bounce back from a lot of things, but cheating on your wife when she has cancer and then instututing a major cover-up and publicly denying your own flesh and blood tend to stick w/ voters.

John Edwards never had a political future. Thankfully, most Americans saw through bs all along and he could never get 51% on the national stage. Always was and always will be a scumbag. eff him.

I agree...I am annoyed at folks who claim to "know" how a person thinks, feels when these folks have not personally experienced a reoccurence of a life threatening illness. It does affect one emotionally, physically and socially.
