I use the term generically. It is actually some program that came with my camera -- ArcSoft PhotoStudio.

I'm on my third digital point and shoot cam, this one a waterproof Olympus. Love it. I also have a Rebel XT digital. I love it as much, but don't like that it doesn't fit in my pocket, and that I have to leave it at home sometimes. Cannot help you with the "i" part of the camera, but for some cool tips, there is a sight I recently discovered which has daily tips, with user comments and feedback, along with questions/answers. www.digital-photography-school.com/blog/

Okay, I've never known anyone who just ran out and bought Photoshop for funn. Your right though most other programs will do all of the basics that most people have known from Photoshop.
