Well I did it guys. No general anesthesia, which really wasn't the bad part. They gave me a valium and injected lidocaine w/epinephrine all around the parts of my face they were doing.
Did the lower lift first which consisted of lipo under neck first. Then did jowl lipo. Then started cutting around my ears and yanking skin. Really couldn't tell when he was cutting but the yanking was unmistakable, kinda like when I had my wisdom teeth pulled. Not painful just could hear yanking from inside and pressure. I remember lying there and thinking what in the hell am I doing? I laughed several times and the doctor asked me if I was OK. I was laughing because I've done some really wild things - been on the 2nd highest peak of the Alps, been gliding, been on the top of a volcano - but this was the strangest thing I've ever done. The most discomfort during the procedure was some pricks when he injected the lido/epi and the cauterizing made a few muscle twitches. The eyes were clearly the scariest and still are.
OK, so now I look like someone beat the crap out of me. Sent photo to a couple of you. The ones that have them, give me your advise on whether I should post or maybe share privately to those who want to see. I really look like crap.
My eyes are really bruised, whole face swollen. Eyes were swollen shut but now open. Can't chew cause my neck and face are pulled so tight but doesn't seem distorted or anything - just swollen. My friend that had it done is in the same shape. We're in the same house and we've both been sleeping so much that maybe have seen each other 15 minutes each day. She didn't bruise at all but she only had upper lids. I had both and seems like lower lids caused all the bruising. Tomorrow we take off the head wraps so will have a better feel.
Been knocked out on pain meds since yesterday morning and am now just getting enough relief where i can get by with one Vicodan and stay awake for more time. My phones have been forwarded since I wasn't able to talk. Will probably take phone again tomorrow if I can. Thanks Audi and Allifunn, Got your messages.
