I though that movie Face Off with Cage and Travolta was great. A really thriller (a bad guy ends up trading faces with a good guy) -- incredibly suspenseful because the good guy's family (wife and child) doesn't know that they're really spending time with the bad guy. Yech and scary.

I'm an organ doner, too. My grandmother was just about blind when she was in her 70s and we took her to Boston to have a cornea transplant. It was amazing when she was able to see again -- it lasted for about 10 years. And this was in the early 1980s. Still remember the wonderful doctor's name -- Dr. Borkoff. You never forget seeing someone get their sight back.

Me, too. I'm an organ donor. Why let them be eaten by worms when you die if someone can benefit from them?

BTW "Face Off" is one of my favorite movies. I've seen it, like, 20 times. I love Travolta and Cage.

The news guy on the NBC station in Panama City needs one. It hurts me to look at him when they break away twice an hour on The Today Show, especially if I'm eating breakfast. I know that's mean. Please forgive me. I know he can't help it, that is, unless he got a face transplant.
Actually, the guy to whom you refer, is on Ch 7 out of Panama City Beach. I know this because my ex-wife prevented me from watching channel 7 because she had the same problem with that guy. She said looking at him made her sick. She was serious.

I cannot recall the title or author, but there is a classic short story about a taxidermist who killed someone. In order to prevent being caught, he removed the face of the victim and sewed onto his own. He walked around for a few days with the new face so that people would believe the dead guy was still alive. The problem comes when someone reports the taxidermist as missing. They blame the taxidermist who now has grown into the victim's skin. He cannot remove the new face and is convicted for murder of the taxidermist.

Anyone know the story? I may have to read it again.

Poor Guy, he can't help it! :sosad: I give him tons of accolades for not letting anything stop him, from success! He sure found it, didn't he? :clap_1:
