Egyptian history is generally considered to have begun in 3200 B.C. when King Menes (also called Narmer) united the Upper and Lower Kingdoms. The last native dynasty fell to the Persians in 341 B.C. and was replaced by Greeks, Romans, and Byzantines. Arabs introduced Islam and the Arabic language into Egypt in the seventh century. - Provided by RandomHistory.com

Fact: if you read too many facts and quotes per day, your head will spin at 33&1/3 revolutions per minute, and all the facts and quotes will fall out, unless you save them in your iphone.

3200 B.C.? So what was going on during the previous 1800 years of the earth's existence? Personally I think dinosaurs were busy building the pyramids.

Some cats have survived falls of over 65 feet (20 meters), due largely to their "righting reflex." The eyes and balance organs in the inner ear tell it where it is in space so the cat can land on its feet. Even cats without a tail have this ability. - Provided by RandomHistory.com

I believe it's also due to what I would call the flying squirrel effect. Cats catch the air such that their terminal velocity is "only" about 60 mph. Drop them from 10000 feet, it's still only 60 mph. A human's terminal velocity is about 135 mph. Since the amount of impact goes up with the square of the speed (remember driver's ED), It's a pretty severe difference.
