not me. I either read the whole damn thing or I don't read a word. if I start a book I finish it no matter how horrible it is. even if it is crap, I have to see what happens. I can only think of one book - and it was one of David Sedaris' that I got so grossed out that I put it down mid-way through. and I usually adore his books.

if a friend gives me a book I'll eventually get around to reading it, or it will live in my library, or it will go to another friend.

me too, and believe me, i have had several monumental struggles to finish a book. the last one i remember was "the ruins". what a horrible waste of time that was. that was about 8 hours of my life i'll never get back

LabLady gave me the book, Skinny B**ch....I just couldn't read it...it was snarky, condescending and it pi$$ed me OFF.......She loved it...and I can see where it could be funny......I didn't find the humor in it. Oh...and I told her it po'd me....no sugar coating there. She's a sport.

No. I'll read anything once. But Rocket did thoughtfully rent a particularly weepy chick flick for me to watch one evening while he was out of town and I lied and said I watched it when I didn't. Got busted, though. Not a very talented liar I guess.
