Ugh, Skunkape, those pics bring back some sick memories of long ago.
Boonesfarm would have been a bit kinder. ;-)

I like red or white, but tend to drink white more often.
Unfortunately a couple of my favorites *used* to be under $10, but now they've gone up. Twenty bucks gives you more leeway.

Valley of the Moon Pinot Noir is tasty (smooth, chewy, supple) but is now barely fitting within your parameters at $18.99 (sometimes on sale at $15--I used to get it for nine bucks)

With white wine, I've repeatedly tried to expand my horizons with pinot grigio, viognier, dry riesling etc but keep coming back to chardonnay.
I just like chardonnay, or sometimes a chard/semillon blend.

A couple reasonably priced chards:

Oyster Bay (I think it's New Zealand)

Forest Glen (California)

Cambria (central coast of California, Cambria is a cute town btw)

One of my favs! I have to special order it here though which is a nuisance. Also like Menage a Trois - Folie a Deux Winery - Napa Valley. It is a blend of Zin, Merlot & Cabernet. It is usually around $12.00

I've enjoyed that Menage as well.
Reminds me a bit of an Aussie blend, Fifth Leg.
That red is good, too, and about the same price.

47 Pound Rooster Pino Noir is great. You can get it at Publix. Rooster also makes a couple other types, too...

Haras (from Chile) Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon are both fantastic, and you might be able to get away with both bottles for under $20.

I also really like the 2005 Sofia Rose Pinot Noir from Francis Coppola. Tastes much more expensive than it really is.
