Bob Hope (God rest him!) used to have the ribs shipped to him...ribs been sent to the White House too...If you haven't experienced Cincinnati style chili, it is unique (Skyline) and Oprah vouches for Graeter's raspberry chip ice cream...my personal favorite is the standard chocolate chip (think chunks of good, dark chocolate and lots of butter fat, heavy cream)

I posted this on a Christmas gift thread from last year- I am still dreaming of this cheese. It was such a beautiful food gift.

We did!! From wonderful friends in Louisville.

Beautiful cheese from Vermont Shepherd Cheese- 2 kinds, nestled in a box filled with Timothy clover hay. I don't know what made me happier- the yummy cheese, or sticking my face in a box of hay and ...breathing. Oh my!

We will be serving this cheese on Christmas Day if we don't eat it all first! I'm trying to come up with a way to display my hay.

I kept that hay in a bowl in my kitchen until March- it smelled so wonderful.

The cheese didn't last so long- it was consumed Christmas week!

I've gotten gift baskets from Wine Country Gift Baskets. I had never heard of them before the gift baskets and then I started getting the brochures on the holidays. When I got them, I thought, wow, these people went all out, but in contrast to the amount in the baskets, the prices were quite reasonable comparative to some other companies. I also have all the baskets still because they were excellent quality and different. They were great because I had yummies of all types to serve when quests came over. { Not all got put out, though ;-)} They sell everything from wine and cheese to quality chocolates--Ghiradelli-- spa baskets-- and the like for all budgets.

We ship Graeters ice cream...the raspberry chip is the best...the chips are not small...they are more like shavings only thicker...not quite a chunk but so yum. You can order a variety pack...well worth the money. If you get a variety order 2 Raspberry chip because it is the favorite of most people.
