Here is what the dictionary says:
A person who opposes and rejects many of the conventional standards and customs of society, especially one who advocates extreme liberalism in sociopolitical attitudes and lifestyles.

I'd say anyone that has ever in their life chicken winged. That should cover it.

Well - thanks for answering my question, only I'm not sure what it means. :dunno: I can't say that I ever heard anyone use the phrase "chicken winged" unless talking about actual chicken wings. :dunno:

Great quotes.... King's quote says it all. My older brother was interviewed by Rickover before service on nuclear subs. Rickover would try to freak you out to see if you could handle being underwater for weeks on end in a giant metal tube. His methods worked, as he was a genius. I am no fan of Truman, but he served in the worst of times. Mohandas Ghandi-- "An eye for an eye ends up making the whole world blind"..... I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."...."It is easy enough to be friendly to one's friends. But to befriend the one who regards himself as your enemy is the quintessence of true religion. The other is mere business"...." The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong"...."Be the change that you want to see in the world".
Amen... And unless we believe that change is possible, at least within us, then we won't make the effort & it won't happen.
But when we make that change courageously, creatively living our ideals more & more, then Love happens, as joy spreads from heart to heart, & peace on Earth will dawn. It begins at home.
Love is the answer.

"How will it all end? ... Mankind will be sick of it all. Greed and hatred will reach such intensity that man will grow weary of them. The only way out ... will be to stop wanting and to give, stop hating and to love, stop dominating and to serve. Then peace will come, joy will come, light will come." ~ Meher Baba (Discourses)

Umm..this is the strangest thread in the history of SoWal.com. I read a few nice quotes that made me feel all warm and fuzzy and think of puppies and nice things, then I would grit my teeth and soldier through a few not so fuzzy ones, then back to puppies, then back to barbed wire, and OMG!!! My head is spinning!

Who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead, his eyes are closed. Albert Einstein!

Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.
What a wee little part of a person's life are his acts and his words! His real life is led in his head, and is known to none but himself. Mark Twain

Just Remember, There's a fine line between being a really nice caring person and being plain Stupid.
When it comes to family and Friends-It's about the bad times, it's never about the good times. Good times take care of themselves. ~Dabell~

Knowing our personal mission further enhances the flow of mysterious coincidences as we are guided toward our destinies. First we have a question, then dreams, daydreams, and intuitions lead us toward the answers, which usually are synchronistically provided by the wisdom of another human being.

James Redfield
Reminds me of the Joseph Campbell quote, "Follow your bliss. ... doing what the push is out of your own existence. Doors will open. There is something about the integrity of a life, and the world moves in and helps."

When you blame others, you give up your power to change., change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain.

That reminds me of something a good friend, who is now 90, told me 20 years ago....Never Complain and Never Explain or it might have been Never Explain and Never Complain....any way it has worked for me! But it's one of those things I constantly have to work on, because sometimes I forget. Okay a lot of times I forget. :bang:
