In 2003, I saw this Bill Moyers interview with Howard Zinn. He was a bomber pilot in WW II, which he talks about. He saw the necessity of fighting then, but now is actively helping to prevent wars. He says, "war brutilizes everyone involved in it." He is not a pacifist, but an activist for positive solutions. He says that we should find our place not as a military, but humanitarian superpower. He is very sincere, & speaks from experience -- with hope for the future of all humanity.
