"If we just worry about the big picture, we are powerless.

So my secret is to start right away doing whatever little

work I can do. I try to give joy to one person in the

morning, and remove the suffering of one person in the

afternoon. If you and your friends do not despise the small

work, a million people will remove a lot of suffering. That is

the secret. Start right now."

I will drink to what drunkkenartist had to say. :D

As to Fear or Love, truly I don't think you can seperate them and if you go back and read this thread it supports that in my opinion.

I think some reached out and showed love to others in the thread.

And some reacted in fear to things that others said that they did not agree with.

I think we can have periods of time where love or fear is dominant but truly they are both always there in us.

It is amazing to me how we as human beings react to things that can harm us or make us mad. I try to live my life as fully as possible, to truly be present. Some people are on guard at all times. Fear is more to do with the ego. When I start to feel fear, it is that uncomfortable feeling you can get in your gut. We all know it. I felt it recently when the girl in grayton was missing. I was kidnapped as a little girl. I was in the 1st grade, and my Grandfather was my hero. He found me and caught the nasty man who was going to kill me. I do not hate the man who turned my world upside down. I actually feel sympathy for him. I never walked in his shoes. I learned so much from that experience. Forgiving him was a gift I gave to myself. I think some fear is normal, whatever normal is, but love is possible in any situation.

Wow, LW, that is really scary. What a most excellent example of choosing fear over love. Thank God for your grandpa. I think your guardian angel was with you too. Did you see about the story today about a 7 year old boy being saved out of Lake Eerie this weekend by a man in a rowboat who just happened to see the boy's Dad's plane go down. It was night and the elderly man rowed out a mile. The little boy grabbed his rowboat in the darkness. More Angels watching... ;-) I'm glad you made it out alive and chose to share your story with us.

That is a reasonable question, 6th. I have some questions/observations to pass along. In some of your posts, you seem to be lecturing and talking down to folks. I might really enjoy learning things from you if it wasn't written in an attack mode. What are you trying to accomplish here? When I see you "attack" people, it is a complete turn off and I might be missing some thought provoking info from you. I feel the same about our politicians, but I can hope to see better from you. BTW...you are not the only offender here, but calling people names because of who they voted for or how they think is juvenile in my book.

Miss Kitty, has anyone told you " I love you" today???? Well, I DO!!!!! You always seem to say the right things and bring things back down to earth!!!!

THANKS!!!!!
