I got'em. What's your fave way of eating them. Probably at least 20 pounds in this and had to leave a lot on the tree before the storm hits.

Nice haul!..Bad storm or good storm with needed rain? We have some bear grass that really needs a good rain. We unhooked the irrigation on our plantings several years back and said whatever could make it on it's own could stay...... but I really don't want it to die. ..:bang:

I like 'em Newton'd. But fresh...probably with a good blue cheese and some tasty wine.

p.s.--chefs would pay big bucks for those. They're nice!

And more to come. I had to leave some of the too ripe ones on the very top branches. I tried to get all of them I could so it would keep producing. Never fertilized and no kind of spray. There is still probably another full box on there right now. I'm going to try and pick more after work tomorrow. Hmmmm ...fig torte. Sounds good.

I like stewed fruit. Got a neighbor with pears you can swap with? Figs, pears, berries, maybe an apple. I guess the chefs call that a compote, but growing up, we called it stewed.
