Fish Out of Water Prix Fixe menu for the winter!

Jaie and his great team at Fish Out of Water are excited to announce this winter's special offering. They hope to see you soon!

The three-course prix fixe menu will be offered 7 days a week at $35 per person and will be available through the winter.
The menu consists of the following:

Appetizer
choice of
1. Jim Whitaker's Arugula - pecorino, red onion, pecan dressing
or
2. Kabocha Squash Soup - ricotta, sage butter, amaretti​

Main Course
choice of
1. Cioppino - seasonal food, crostini
or
2. Harris Ranch Beef Short Rib - gnocchi a la romana, buttered turnips​

Dessert
choice of
1. Tropical Fruit Pavlova - pineapple sorbet, tropical fruit, meringue
or
2. Souffle of the Day​

Tuesday is half price wine night (first bottle only). Considering the depth of their cellar, this is a great tasting opportunity. I'm not sure when this inventory reduction sale ends, so jump on it while you can.

Just left a msg for a reservation! I'm hoping that Open Table isn't correct -- it says they don't have any open tables for the next MONTH!

If wine isn't your thing, ask for the seasonal apple cocktail made with Makers Mark, fresh Honey Crisp apples, cinnamon, etc. A perfect seasonal dessert in my book. Awesome.

Just a correction to the original post -- the special is NOT offered 7 days a week. It is apparently NOT offered on the weekends!

Oh well, we still had an amazing meal there. . . just cost a little more than expected!

I called Fish earlier this afternoon inquiring about NYE dinner as we got the Hotel pkg that includes ticket to the parties. I found out a couple of things, the will have a Prix Fixe menu that night at 80.00 per person, which I was informed included tickets to the party. Well, since I ALREADY have tickets to the party that came with my room, I asked if that made a difference. Nope.

And now, in order to confirm your reservation, Fish emails you a form that you must fill out and fax (with cc number) to hold your ressie. AND if you don't show....yep, your card is charged.

I had/have hopes of staying on property that evening, but not sure if I want to step out on a limb and do the paperwork without knowing what the menu is.

I called several restaurants and the only seatings they have left are the 5ish ones and then after 10.....I did find a table at George's so I guess we will be headed to Alys Beach prior to the W/C event.
