there are so many food blogs its hard to find a place to begin and a way to focus. I find it incredible to see so many really talented cooks of all kinds contributing the most beautiful food blogs complete with photography, from pastry to savory, ethnic foods, regional foods, traditional, gourmet, fusion, and on and on.

I thought I would just start by giving a link or two to the ones I have seen. but I am still just starting out on the quest for the best food blogs/sites. maybe some of you have some favorites you would like to share, or do you have a food blog of your own?

Serious Eats
this is a comprehensive blog & site with articles, blogs, recipes, shopping - all about food. one feature I like is the photograzing section. photos of beautiful dishes - click on one for the recipe.

Italian Food Forever
just an old personal favorite site all about Italian food - this site has been around for a long time. rather authentic stuff. according to the site we need to mark our calendars for international day of italian cuisines - Jan 17.

Proud Italian Cook
here is one I haven't had a chance to review but at first glance the photos are delicous! A Chicago Italian food blog! omg, they are making homemade ravioli.

Kitchenique

our own local Vickie McCain has a beautiful kitchen shop in Destin (near destin commons) and offers many cooking classes by local chefs and other experts in the fields of food and wine. If you check her class schedule on the website you will find some terrific recipes from some of the classes. she won't mind. but sign up for a class -you will not be disappointed. its always a wonderful meal with wine and friends.

there are literally hundreds and thousands of food blogs online - I've briefly looked at dozens. some of them look so beautiful! no doubt they would be very useful for reading and finding perfect recipes! who has the time to find the ones that appeal?

what I like about the blogs I've seen is that many of them feature absolutely beautiful photography. the visuals make a huge impression when reading about foods and recipes.

If you have favorite food blogs or sites, let us hear about them!

yes, I am going to take a look at all of these! can't wait.

of course, we can't forget Food Network.
I always learn from Emeril's recipes. they are the best. I don't watch his show but I do use his recipes.

Emeril's.com
just came across emeril's own site - looks to be full of info about his restaurants, recipes, cooking, etc.
