Food Shopping for the Holidays around South Walton... the best of the best!

We love to shop for special foods, cheeses, wines, breads, pastries, party foods and fresh, seasonal ingredients for our holiday meals and gatherings. Yes, there is a Fresh Market in Destin, and a Sam's Club in PCB and Fort Walton Beach. But, nothing beats the outstanding gourmet shops, bakeries, restaurants and specialty foods and wines offered here in South Walton and along the coast.

Many places are now advertising holiday foods, meals and treats you can order and pick up. I know of quite a few GREAT places for food shopping but would love to know more, so if you have a favorite business please give them a shout here.

Where to start?

Seaside Farmers Market every Saturday in Seaside, 9am-1pm! A special market is planned for Wednesday before Thanksgiving... The vendors offer some of the best and freshest foods you can possibly find anywhere, including farm raised eggs as well as organic chicken and duck... cheeses, preserves, honey, and gourmet foods such as rosemary infused sea salt / rub. Baked goods, breads, pastries and pies! Wonderful prepared foods to go...

Order home made bread and pies from Stacey Bakes at The Shops of Grayton!
Drop in at the cafe for late breakfast, a coffee or lunch Tue - Sat, 10am-3pm... gluten friendly and delicious!

Time to pick up a case of wine for the holiday season at Emerald Coast Wine and Spirits! The staff always helps with my selections.. having plenty on hand throughout the season is always a good thing, and make great gifts!

We LOVE to drop in at Modica Market in Seaside to pick up essentials and gourmet foods, and a coffee when needed. During the holidays, you can find wonderful gourmet crackers, candies and chocolates... or pick up great brands of pasta, polenta, cheeses, hand cut steaks and canned Marzano tomatoes from Italy. These are essentials in my pantry during the holiday AND they make great gifts too!
