I was all revved up for a train trip a while ago - then found out I had to drive several hours to get to a train from Sowal.
So? It's an hours travel to get on a cramped tube that hurtles through the sky.
I was sort of hoping I could take a train trip somewhere w/o having to drive further than Defuniak - instead (because of the odd routing) I have to drive almost as far East as I would want to travel West via train. 
l SO miss my 7 minute bus ride to the termini that would take me over Europe.
Hopefully Obama will improve the train system, so it becomes much easier - not just for me, but the aging boomers and other frustrated fliers!
