I posted a few weeks ago about a friend of my sisters who is in the hospital. He is still in ICU, and we are still not sure of his prognosis. He will have a very long recovery, if he survives. To make a long story short, he has two dogs. One is a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, he is 4 years old. The other is an Australian Sheppard and she is about 10 years old. We really need to find foster care for these two dogs. We would love to be able to keep them together, but if that is not possible we would split them up. I called the number of a vet that I found in his house, and they told me that the dogs had not been seen in their office since 2005. So, they are both over due on their vaccines. We are going to try and get them vaccinated as soon as possible. My sisters friend has a neighbor that is going over twice a day to feed the dogs and let them out. My sister is going over on the weekends and staying with them and going to the hospital. If we could find foster care for the dogs, it sure would make things a lot easier on my sister. She and I are both worried about the dogs. If you have suggestions please let me know. I appreciate any help I can get.
