Here's my analogy:
You walk into a nice jewelry store which is lavishly furnished and has a motto something like "We have the finest jewelry in the world" and ask to see diamond rings.
The salesman brings out a tray of several rings. Two or three are lovely solitaires, two or three look to have cheaper metals, a couple look really cheap, and two are actually made of plastic and came out of a gumball machine.
You say to the salesman, "What are these plastic toys doing in with this real jewelry"? He replies, "We know that our customers are sophisticated buyers who can differentiate real quality. Those rings are real jewelry, you could certainly wear them if you wished". You say, "But they're not real diamonds!" He answers, "They certainly are - each stone is in the shape of a diamond. If they were square, we'd call them Square Rings".
Would you think that the rest of the rings in the tray were high quality?
Would you think that the store was a little squirrelly?
