The person we always rent from has many bikes for use in the shed, also beach chairs, umbrellas, gas grill, DVDs, games, etc. Pretty much anything you need.
Thanks for the input guys. Beachrunner and Scooter bug, you have definitely given me alot to think about. My husband was more of the one who wanted to try it, but I guess I am the one who always thinks about what could happen. I will contact the people I bought my bike from and see what we could get worked out with them on a discount. I was worried more about the liability, and wasn't thinking about all of the other issues that could come up. Your comments have helped me alot! Thanks so much!
i think its a great offering, to include the bikes. like others, the rates on rental bikes being about equal to a 2 week rental period, even if they last for one season, they'll pay for themselves if you yourselves as owners use them for 2 or 3 weeks, and any additional rental weeks, taken in a competitive market, because you have bikes for guest use, will make buying bikes, an extraordinarily good return on investment, and if they're around for a 2nd year, which there is a good chance they will be, then that would be bonus gravy.
Thanks for your responses guys. It looks like as of yesterday we won't be able to purchase our vacation home for now. I will keep all our your suggestions in mind when we are able to purchase in SoWal, hopefully in the not so distant future. It's funny how things can change so fast. We were supposed to close last week, so as you could guess we were deeply disappointed. I feel like I've been on a roller coaster ride the last several months. But, I will not give up on my dream , and I will be back this spring or summer to visit!!!
