We will inspect your boat in the water, on a trailer - anywhere in south Walton. If you "pass" you receive a sticker which decreases the chance of your being stopped on the water and a form which may be good for a discount on your boating insurance. If something is missing you are the only person we tell. When you fix the problem we'll come back and provide the sticker and certificate. Reply here or send an e-mail to auxman14@mchsi.com

There are a lot of boaters on the boards here. I will probably get a small fishing boat with a motor in the future.
Do you guys do the boater's courses here? I think I've seen them in FWB or Destin. Maybe you can post when you have some coming up.

Yes, we currently teach the Safe Boating Class at Coast Guard Station Destin. If enough interest can be generated I can arrange to have one taught out here - maybe at the Library?
WE actually can "inspect" canoes and kayaks. Obviously the requirements are not very complicated; A life Vest, flashlight and for Kayaks we highly recommend a a paddle float.
