UPDATE!!!

Inlet Beach Publix is participating in this program! I am not sure about the other Publix outlets in our area. It looked to me like there were no strings attached-a prescription for any of the eligible antibiotics for a treatment period of up to 2 weeks would be honored. Off the top of my head, there was free amoxicillin(Amoxil), TMP/SMX(Bactrim), cephalexin(Keflex), ciprofloxacin(Cipro), penicillin(Pen VK), erythromycin and ampicillin.

I did not see whether or not this program included only pills/caps or if it included suspensions/syrups.

These 'old' antibiotics are very useful for many conditions that warrant outpatient antibiotic therapy. However, they may not be appropriate for all situations, so ask your doctor if there is a reason your treatment plan can not include these freebies...

O'Wal
They're giving it away out there but the government can't negotiate prices with PharmaWorld. How nice!
