I guess he just backs the whole truck down the ramp. I'd love to witness it. The boat ramp is a very entertaining place. I could spend my whole day watching folks trying to get their boats in and out of the water. Especially on a windy day.
My favorite is trying to run up the mills 1st time AFTER releasing from the trailer - brrruuuummm, flup-flup - brruuuummm, flup-flup, while drifting off into the sunrise :rotfl:

Yep, then they stand on the bow trying to throw a four foot string to their wife standing on the bank.

You've seen "them" too...eh? :laughing1

I'll never understand people who buy a fifty thousand dollar boat, and tie it to the pier with a little, tiny dry-rotted rope. :dunno:

Out on the lake a several weeks ago. Guy with a brand new Sea Ray Sundeck pulls up to tie up with us. Has 1 (Yes ONE) rope. Very skinny nylon line you would use to maybe tie something very light to your roof rack. And 1 (Yes ONE) dam fender! Possibly the smallest one I have ever seen. Of course, I am prepared for the rest of the idiots on the lake and have the proper gear to safely tie him up to our rig. What a dork!

My husband and I boat most every weekend - last year we came upon a boat on fire with a dad and 3 little kids on board. My husband grabbed our fire extinguisher while I was piling the kids on our boat to get them out of harms way if possible. We got the fire out and while towing the boat back to the marina the guy explained how he had just bought the boat and didn't know anything about boating - DUH - you think !!! Thank God we came upon them or we might have read about them the next day in the newspaper. People have to pass a driver test for cars - but for boating all they need is money

The just passed a law in Alabama requiring boaters licenses. I think it has already helped. A couple of years back on the 4th of July, I witnessed a 14 year old boy t-bone another boat at Lake Martin. It luckily threw the boy under the console instead of over it. Everybody was okay but I had to stay with them and help bail water out of the boat he hit. It was a bad situaion to say the least.

And daddy was NOT happy.
