Are there any markets in the area that sell fresh flour tortillas? I am in the process of packing to vacation there for 9 days and I would prefer to buy some tortillas once there rather than buy some here and keep them frozen over our long travels.

There is a new Mexican Market on Hwy 98 next to the Community Church here in Santa Rosa Beach.

I'm not sure if that particular market has fresh or not, but El Mercadito, in the refrigerated section, has flour and corn tortillas of good quality. Don Pedro's has both for sale also, and I was told they were made in-house. They were very, very good.

Thank you, everyone. It sounds like I have a few options to consider once I arrive.

Well, it's not SoWal, but... the Walmart Neighborhood market near my house has fresh made flour tortillas daily in the store. They are packaged hot and it's very difficult not to eat one on the way home.

There's a little Mexican restau up 331 toward Freeport, in a tiny strip-mall style shopping center, that makes their tortillas in house. Good food; Anyone recall the name? It's only a few miles after the 331 bridge, going north, on the east (right hand) side of 331.

El Jacalito. The tortillas are of the maize variety. Balls up and have the tacos de chicharrones. I doubt fresh flour tortillas will be found.
