could someone kindly tell a newbie where shrimpers is? we'll be back down in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to become as local as possible as soon as possible!

At the intersection of 30A and 98 on the west end turn East, Shrimper's will be on your left.
If you want the best service and freshest Seafood, It's Destin Ice hands down! It is woth the commute! They also sell the best steaks and gourmet foods as well. Everything else pales in comparison!

SoWal/Okaloosa is lucky to have a number of good sources. I patronize Shrimper's, Sexton's, Destin Ice, and Skipper's. Shrimper's usually has black mussels, which the other three do not. Sexton's generally has the largest selection of fresh fish. Destin Ice has some nice prepared foods and the beef. Skipper's is convenient -- across from Silver Sands-- and usually has a nice selection of shrimp.

over the years, Goatfeathers has always been there for us. and always fresh!!! shrimp, live blue crab, live crawfish - as much as you want, and seasonal fish. love grabbing some freshly steamed shrimp on the way to the beach. yummy. btw, we frequently visit both goatfeather stores. the people are most helpful.if its a holiday - get in there early or you'll miss out.
