South Walton Montessori Academy is looking for a full time Assistant teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals. Applicant will join the Lead Teacher and an additional Assistant in the Primary classroom. (The Primary class has 30 students ages 3 to 6.) Applicant should have experience working with young children, and some general understanding of Montessori philosophy and curriculum. College degree and/or Montessori Certification preferred.
SWMA has very low teacher turnover, and we are looking for a dependable candidate that is committed to finding a long term position.
Candidates must be self motivated, patient, energetic, and possess a positive attitude. Candidates should be able to demonstrate respect for the child, school, and environment.
Hours are 7:45AM to 3PM, five days a week, and we follow a similar calendar as the local public school system. Promptness and dependability are a must.
