1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Wraps and sits larger ones under tree.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
I like white for both, but sometimes I give in to Kalie and Doug who like colored!
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Yes, of course! XXX SWAK
5. When do you put your decorations up?
ASAP After Thanksgiving
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
My Mother's Cornbread Dressing, her Candied Pecan Sweet Potato Souffle and her Giblet Gravy....over almost everything!!!
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?
My Dad taking us out to his secret place down by the water banks to cut a tree. We used to find Indian pottery and arrowheads here too! Another very special thing was him getting us all bundled up on Christmas Eve and going to Oak Alley to watch the Lighting Of the Bon Fires to guide PaPa Noel in! Sled riding out to feed the Elk in Jackson Hole, Wyoming!
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I was walking to my Grandmother's house with an older cousin and her friend. The friend started talking about Santa not being real. My cousin tried to shut her up....but too late. BUT the worst, her friend made fun of me for thinking he was real!
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Yes, as many as I can! Which is only one...maybe two. The children always hope it's more then one!!!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
Usually traditional with some Mardi Gras ornaments for the sheer love of them. Kalie sometimes has the cutest pink tree with pink lights and colorful glass ornaments of high heels, purses and lipsticks.
This year I may do something really simple!
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? LOVE IT!!!!
12. Can you ice skate? HELLOHNO!
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
My first real pearl necklace and a big box of beignets!!!!
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Being with family and friends.....shopping with my kids for a single parent so that their child or children can have SANTA! There are a lot of them here in South Walton and teachers are a really great source to help you know who has a need!
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Candy....Pecan Fudge ** Pie........Pecan ** Cake.....Gambino's Chocolate/Lemon Doberge or Red Velvet, German Chocolate and Coconut Cake. I love them all
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
I love to give all the my children and grandchildren new Christmas Gowns or Pajamas....then snuggle with them.
I love being the last one to go to sleep on Christmas Eve....I get to sit with a cup of something warm and yummy in the quiet with just the lights of the tree on. This is pure happiness.
17. What tops your tree?
I've switched from Star to Angel and then back to Star....my whole childhood was a Beautiful Silver Star. I'm doing a star this year!!!
18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving?
Both are nice, but I love giving a gift that surprises someone. DITTO IWIWT!!!!
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
I love them all.....but when I hear Ava Maria it brings me an incredible feeling of awe.
20. Candy Canes?
Just a little piece....usually break of the end of it. they look great on a tree or in a glass jar in the kitchen!
