Can anyone help me out? Her birthday approaches.
She is a sweetie. She is tough (she has an almost-13 year old older brother) but very feminine (lots of pink and purple) and girly.
She is artsy but I already gave her a watercolor set for Christmas.
According to her and her parents, I always give her really thoughtful presents, which simultaneously gratifies me and terrorizes me.
I can't screw up!
I have personalized stationary for her, but wanted one more idea.
A journal?
A DVD?

i don't have kids, but i remember when our nieces were that age, they were in to making their own jewelry with the bead kits and things like that. and i think a journal is also a good idea, maybe some scrapbooking things to personalize it with .

I have an 11 year old daughter who is a tomboy is one respect but very girly in others. My mother this year found the neatest pink fuzzy phone for her room at Parisian, I believe in the Jr. section. A nice thing is always a pretty necklace or earings if she has pierced ears in her birthstone (would go great with the jewerly box). My daughter loves lotions and things. American Girl has a whole line of bath products and a cologne that is very appropriate for that age group. You can get that at Bath and Body Works. Clothes are always good too if you know her taste and size. A good collection of a series of books if she loves to read. Her own CD player or small stereo for her room with some new CD's. Just some thoughts.

Thanks, everyone.
I can keep some of these ideas in mind for next Christmas! I would love to get her a pink fuzzy phone, but I don't know if I can get this together in time for her birthday. Besides the watercolor set, I had also gotten her a pedicure set for Christmas which she liked.
Her mom is kind of weird about pierced ears (she doesn't have them) and I wonder if my niece will ever get them. (Back when I was that age, I couldn't wait, but my parents made me wait until I was 12.)
I like the CD player idea.
Thanks again!
