Last I heard, the scenic corridor enforcement people ran them off. Didn't meet our scenic guidelines...
They could park the boat on the north side of the bridge, because only the South side is considered a scenic corridor. The Cheri Anne, or what ever the name of that shrimp boat is parked up Lagrange Bayou. Someone told me that it belongs to the people who used to operate a restaurant in Freeport, on the south side of Hwy 20 -- The Corner Pocket or something like that. Judging by the two kids who I always saw selling the shrimp, I question if they were actually caught on that boat by those two teenagers, but they very well may be freshly caught.
I am aware of Shrimpers and Goatfeathers, and I, too, prefer Shrimpers, but I rarely make it down that far. The local Publix stores carry shrimp from Malaysia and Indonesia. Go figure.

I know many local restaurants don't sell Gulf Shrimp, either. Glad to see Criolla's has Gulf Shrimp on their menu.
