I think it was more like the heron was being good to me! :roll:

I think it was the breeze from the north competing the the creek trying to empty out into the bay after the storms, the creek you see in the video is just south of the opening to the bay.

This is how it really went:


Lori arrives with camera. Heron spies her.

Heron: "Well, I'm leaving if you're staying with your camera"
Heron flies off. Lori stays. Heron Waits a few minutes... Comes flying back around...almost lands in the water, sees Lori, continues his fly-by.

You can often do some good heron watching from the boardwalk over Little Deer Lake, in Watersound West.
