GRAYTON BEACH TRAMS

The Walton County Tourism Department will once again be offering daily tram service for residents and visitors who are coming to Grayton Beach. This complimentary service will operate out of the “Grayton Grand” parking lot on C.R. 283 (across the street from Hurricane Oyster Bar).

Trams will transport guests from the parking lot to a central drop-off point near the west beach access, where people can easily access the beach, the Red Bar, Chiringo’s, or any of the other local shops and businesses.

The trams will run daily from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and operate from March 16 – Oct. 31.

Given the popularity of Grayton Beach, this daily tram service provides a convenient pick-up and drop-off option for thousands of beachgoers each year. Whether you are catching an early morning fishing charter, looking to lounge on the beach, or enjoy dinner with friends and family, the Walton County Tourism Department and its team of tram drivers look forward to serving you.
For more information about the program, call (850) 267-1216.

We need trams or trolleys to have stops all the way up and down 30A for people to get on and off , reduce amount of cars and golf carts!

You'd get a lot more support if you threw in the caveat that businesses could lower their parking requirements if it were a permanent thing.

Same parking lot used by the Seaside trolley? (We rode a 30A trolley once. Didn't pick up anyone else. It was basically a private limo ride. I guess someone is going to have to add alcohol to entice riders? Semi serious.) Ellen

That was the turtle express operated by Sunshine Shuttle and Limousine. We rode with it with Ms. Kitty, but yeah only the one time.

This should be a number one priority for 30A transportation… With the millions of bed tax that this county collects every year, it should already be up and running.

If the tram/trolley concept isn’t an option, we need more lots similar to the Grayton Beach lot. Those shuttles are a success and people are using them… The east side needs something similar..east of Seaside. I agree with Matt. It would be to the 30A businesses benefit to get behind any tram/trolley/shuttle running routes year round

I believe the issue is spending limitations set by our all knowing overlords in Tallahassee.

Yes same. Also The Red Bar shuttle. We have used it a few times to get down to Grayton Beach or The Red Bar, Zoo Gallery etc. It's really fine and works well getting there and back. We can be tourists for a bit! Kind of fun. Very convenient.
