Sorry, I would only consider a Krystals CLOSING to be reason for celebration! Nasty un-nutritious food. I took a bite of a Krystal burger once - spat it back out!

I have a vague recollection of a Krystal being in Downtown Destin years ago....It was near the original Destin Movie Theatre and Delchamps if memory serves

For us it was the Royal Castle on South Carrollton in NOLA when we were drunk late at night. That and lunches at Camellia Grill across the street from there.Yes, that's exactly what we did freshmen year in college and most likely due to the freshmen 10, as in pounds!
On my Daddy's side of the family I had 18 first cousins, and, except for one, we were all pretty much the same age. One of our favorite things to do was go to Krystal and have a contest to see who could eat the most Krystals. In the old days when there were no interstates, the route to Panama City from Atlanta included going through Columbus, GA. We always stopped at the Krystal on US 27 there for lunch. Daddy loved him some Krystal, as well as Captain Anderson's and Black Angus Steakhouse in PCB. Maybe that's why he dropped dead unexpectedly of a heart attack at 54?

i think these are similar to the white castle sliders we have here, correct ? if so i am not allowed to get these in my husbands truck because he doesn't want it to smell like decomposing bodies. his words not mine
Yep, it's probably the onions they use. They are potent as a stink machine or a laxative.
Yeah. Last I noticed, it was a branch for the infamous Beach Community Bank. There's still one over by the mall in Ft. Walton Beach. During the late 90s, they actually had to trap a black bear over there who developed a habit of dumpster-diving in Krystal's dumpster. Alas for him, he was relocated to the Bad Bear Reform School area of Apalachicola National Forest where nary a leftover burger was to be found.
