I'm SO sorry I did not get to make it. :sosad:

I was so tired after work I was afraid that I would fall asleep in my grits!

It sounds like a great group and I wanted to say ADIOS to the Kitty Kouple!

BON VOYAGE, you two! Hope to see you back at the beach very soon!

So, do tell -- how was it?
We really enjoyed meeting everyone - Mr. Kitty (I had already met Mrs. Kitty), Donna, John R., InletBeachDweller, Steele Mama, steeling 1 and 4, Cork and her parents, Seagrover (I think that's all).

As far as the food goes, I was so busy talking that I didn't even focus on the food. I had the Grits Ya Ya - pretty tasty. The place wasn't very busy.

Sueshore really did have a green drink -- she is a trip! :). And the phone really did get passed around - hilarious. I wish more of you could have been there. I think everyone had FUNN.

sorry for the late post, been running all day. great dinner last night, good to meet some more sowallers and say bone voyagee to ms.k. a large group had a large time at a large table on the large deck, which is way large on casual atmosphere. in attendance were self, m/m kitty, m/m br, donna and nephew brian, ibd and friend(cocktails only inside), cork on the ocean and parents, seagrover(in an awesome batik(?) dress with cocktails on it), steele mama, steeling 4, steeling dad, m/m steeling1. lots of stories, food, and bs were shared by all. hopefully they'll let us come back. our server was quite attentive and split the checks without a flinch. our food was delivered without error, and quite good. it was my second time there.

i/we had the olives, chicken jets, and oyster po'boy. olives - (a huge portion in mason jar w/two slices of bread), cool presentation, but not enough bread for the amount of olives. i'm sure more would have been brought readily if i asked.
volcano chicken jets - just enough and quite tasty
po'boy - couldn't eat it as a sandwich since i had so much other stuff. the oysters were fried to perfection and served with an incredible housemade remoulade on the side. i dipped, then used the leftover bread for more olives.
ms. kitty had the tomato/corn salad which was huge and tasted great. donna had it too(i think), and both were exclaiming on the tastiness of the tomatos. ms. kitty also had some kind of greentini going on.

seagrover has an awesome drink recipe which when she copyrights? it, will be happy to share.

there is linen on the tables inside, as well as a different menu with some shared items, but have no fear about letting it all hang out on the deck.

current menu is limited and will change daily with seasonal specialties.

Weeeeeeee! Nice green drink Miss Kitty! It matches Donna's pretty green shirt!

Y'all are quite the funn looking bunch! Pics are almost the next best thing to being there. Thanks John R for being the historian of the weekend!

John R., thanks for the photos and the restaurant review! Like I said, I was enjoying meeting everyone too much to focus on the food. Not to mention that it was so dark, I really couldn't see what I was eating.:funn: I agree with your review of the food. The tomato dish was delicious, as were my grits. The waitress did a great job because we were a difficult group to wait on since we were talking so much that we weren't ready to order, yet she was patient with us. Only one slight negative - not noticing that everything is a la carte, my husband ordered the Gulf shrimp entree ($20), and literally all he got were shrimp. Next time we'll read the menu. :rotfl:

Miss Kitty...is that a Van Cleef necklace you're wearing?
You are so flippin fancy.
Maybe you could trade it in for a few pair of red bottom shoes? :dunno:

Sharp eyes, Kimmi. That's what it is and it looks even prettier in person. I want one!

I loved looking at the photos. Thanks, JohnR. :clap_1: It was nice seeing my favorite SoWallers again even though I wish I were there at the beach with all of you. :sosad:

Steeling1 is the most radiant pregnant woman I've ever met. Steeling1, you glow with happiness!
