I don't think she's going to die. She fell into cold water. Victims have a better chance of survival due to mammalian diving reflex. When the body is suddenly submerged in water or caught in a freezing environment, all of the major systems slow almost to a halt, minimizing the need for oxygen, increasing the chances of survival. Your body will actually exhibit all the signs of death. Including the blue tinge to the skin, decreased heart rate, pupils fixed and dialated, etc.

I'm telling you, this is a 5 parter. They will string us along for at least 1 more episode. Good luck to all the other injured, and dying vicitims of the ferry crash. The entire staff of physicians are hovering in the hall or in the treatment room with Meridith.

I'm not a Dr. I just play one on SoWal. Actually, I think what I posted is true. I guess we'll have to stay tuned to see. ;-)

:lolabove: Mammalian diving reflex......

I read on the internet that one of the characters will go off the show by death.....Hhhmmmm. I just can't see it being Meredith! I am still shocked at how dramatic this show has become. But, yes it does keep me watching...and I really don't watch a lot of TV.

My favorite character is Izzie. McDreamy on the other hand is HOT HOT HOT!
