We were half-watching, tapping on our computers, until bang! Then we were pretty much riveted for the next two hours, not knowing where it was going. I'd lost interest the last year or two. It was good to see they could bring back a little suspense to a worn out formula.

The shooter is Mike Wilson from Montgomery, Alabama. He went to Lee High School and Auburn when I was there. He did an outstanding job last night - it was easy to be totally creeped out by him!!! He is actually a really nice guy!!!

Very interesting epsode, and pretty intense for "Grey's."

I wish the script had ben just a little more believable .... after the shooter gets shot by a SWAT cop that's apparently 20 or 30 feet away, and not likely all by himself, the shooter is then able to visit a number of other locations around the hospital, over the span of many more minutes, without another cop anywhere in sight. This aspect was totally not believable.

It started out so strongly when the gunman killed Reid with no warning, but then, for all that it was oddly compelling, also annoyed the heck out of me because the entire script consisted of characters passing the Idiot Ball around to each other in order to hit plot points. In addition to Seattle apparently having the world's most incompetent SWAT team, every single character except the guy who pulled the monitor leads of Shepperd had their moment of moron. Why didn't anyone lock the doors of their area once they'd gotten the page? Why didn't Bailey at least try calling 911 to let them know she had someone dying in the hallway once she discovered that the elevators had been cut? Why didn't the babbling intern hunker down somewhere instead of wandering around the hospital? Why did Arizona and Callie keep bickering their way through the crisis? (and why didn't she take the gun when it looked like the shooter was offering it to her?) Why were doctors allowed to keep running into a sealed building unescorted?
