Love grits! Granny probably made the best with cream and butter. But, now I get creative and put all kinds of junk in them. Horseradish, any kind of cheese, garlic, peppers......on and on! What do Y'all put in yours?

I love grits...........especially with lots of butter, salt and pepper. I have a recipe for shrimp and grits that calls for lots of parmesan cheese and butter in the grits.................served them to company who said they would never eat grits and guess what........they loved them!

NO SUGAR!! But butter, and cheese. And Shrimp & Grits sounds divine.

My farmboy hubby prefers his eggs over-easy, and would have no idea what to do with the yolks if he didn't have grits on the plate.

Butter, chicken broth, half & half, sharp cheddar.
For the shrimp part: sauteed green peppers, onions, garlic and green onions with white wine. Plop in some un cooked shrimp at the last minute and you have great shrimp and grits.
